How to save from TikTok
Copy the link
In TikTok, tap Share on the video, then Copy link. Links like vm.tiktok.com/… work as well as full tiktok.com/@user/video/… links.
Paste it here
Tap Paste (or long-press the box). ClipMagpie shows the TikTok icon when it recognises the link.
Pick Video, Audio or Mute
Video gives you an MP4 with sound. Audio gives you the soundtrack as MP3 (or another format). Mute gives you the picture only.
Save the file
Tap Save file. On iPhone it opens in a new tab: use Share, then Save Video or Save to Files.
Watermark-free, when TikTok allows it
TikTok stores a clean copy of most videos alongside the watermarked one it hands to its own “Save video” button. ClipMagpie asks for the clean copy first, so most downloads come without the bouncing logo and username.
If TikTok only offers a watermarked version for a particular post, that’s what you’ll get. We won’t pretend otherwise.
Slideshows and photo posts
Photo carousels come back as a grid: save each image on its own or use Download all. If the slideshow has background music, you’ll get a separate button for the audio.
Just the sound
Switch to Audio to save the soundtrack. By default you get the audio as it plays in that video. Turn on “save the original sound” under More options to fetch the full original sound instead of this clip’s cut, when TikTok links one.
TikTok questions
Is there a watermark on the downloaded TikTok?
Usually not. ClipMagpie requests TikTok’s clean copy of the video. A few posts only exist with a watermark, and then that’s the copy you get.
What quality do TikTok downloads come in?
The best version TikTok serves for that video, typically 720p or 1080p MP4 (H.264). You can allow H.265 under More options for smaller, sharper files, but some older phones and editors can’t play it.
Can I download from a private account?
No. ClipMagpie only sees what a logged-out visitor can see. Private accounts, friends-only posts and removed videos won’t work.
Does the creator get notified?
No. Fetching a public video doesn’t notify anyone. Please still respect the creator: keep downloads for personal use and credit them if you share.
Does it work with TikTok Lite or tiktok.com/t/ links?
Yes. Short links (vm., vt. and /t/ links) and full links all work.
