How to save from SoundCloud

  1. Copy the track link

    Tap Share, then Copy link. on.soundcloud.com short links work too.

  2. Paste it here

    Audio mode is already on for SoundCloud.

  3. Pick a format

    MP3 for compatibility, “Original” to keep SoundCloud’s own stream untouched.

  4. Save

    Tap Save file. Tags and cover art are included when available.

What you actually get

SoundCloud streams most public tracks at about 128 kbps (Opus or MP3). That’s the source ClipMagpie starts from, so higher bitrate settings won’t add detail. “Original” gives you the stream without re-encoding.

If an artist has enabled SoundCloud’s own Download button, that file is often the full-quality original. Use it when it’s there.

SoundCloud questions

Can I download Go+ or preview-only tracks?

No. Paid and preview-only content is off-limits, and you’ll see a clear message if you try.

Do private links work?

Yes, if the link includes its secret part (the s-… at the end). That’s the link the artist shared with you.

Can I save a whole playlist or album?

Not yet. Paste each track’s link.

Is cover art included?

Yes, embedded in the file when the format supports it, unless you strip metadata.
